Hosting, Co-Producing and Co-Designing RISE 2021 with ODUK, China Plate, and East London Dance
Perfect Execution
RISE is a two day an online two-day interactive, career and networking event that explores and supports routes into the creative sector.
As a One Dance UK Dance Ambassador, I had such a wonderful time co-designing, co-producing and co-hosting this event alongside Young Producers from China Plate Theatre and members of the Fi.ELD from East London Dance. It was such an incredible experience since this was all designed and produced by young people, with the facilitation of the 3 organizations.
I have achieved and learnt so much in this project!
Co-hosted Day 1 of the event (10-6:30)
Hosted Careers Q&A, talks throughout the day
Planned, written and organized scripts, PowerPoint document
Created Code of Conduct/rules for managing the space
Attended meetings and rehearsal
Work collaboratively with other hosts, Zoom chat monitor and social lead
Helped to ensure the engagement and inclusion of all participants
Helped to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all participants.
Kept the Project Lead, Gemma Griffiths, and the East London Dance team up to date with any pastoral or logistical comments or concerns on a regular basis.
Follow East London Dance’s Safeguarding policy (a copy of which is available on request).
Acted as a professional representative and ambassador/alumni for East London Dance, including liaising with members of the public, parents, school teachers and, with prior approval from ELD, members of the press and media.
Victor Fung's Viral Dance of 2050
Providing feedback and ideas
I had the opportunity to connect with UK/HK choreographer Victor Fung to provide him with some feedback/suggestions for his latest youth dance challenge-Viral Dance of 2050. This is still an ongoing project which I am keeping an eye on and providing feedback as it progresses.
